Who am I and why should you choose me?

I’d strive to do my very best to help you create your ceremony in your own way.

If you’re looking for the best Independent Celebrant to lead your celebration, whatever that may be, the celebrant most on your wavelength, you would choose me because you’d find me a very helpful, inclusive and friendly person with a lot of first-hand life experiences.

You will appreciate my passion for the Arts, for music and culture, my love of words and poetry. You’d find me interesting to talk to. You might be a little eccentric or, like me, appreciate eccentricity in others. You’d share my sense of humour.

You’ll be attracted to an alternative approach to life and relationships. Like me, you would be open-minded and generous with your time and your help. You’ll want to live in a world that is wholly inclusive, accepting of others, kind and generous. You’d appreciate an empathetic approach, a listening ear and a creative, problem-solving mind.

You’ll share my love of food and drink, cooking and eating out. You’d find me fun to be with. And, like me, you wouldn’t be over- obsessed with money or material things. Family and friends will be the centre of your world (and pets most likely – dogs especially) and you’d share my love of nature, the outdoors, awe-inspiring landscapes, mountains, forests and the sea. You’d find me a good person to spend time with.

If that sounds like the perfect match, please get in contact.

A bit about me…

I originally worked in Television as the Senior Editor at GMTV. This meant I worked on all manner of programming from promos, to travel documentaries, celebrity interviews, news and current affairs, charity appeal films to name just a few.

I spent a decade working at the fashion shows in Paris and Milan, producing and editing items for transmission on the show back in London.

In 2009 I left the glamour of TV and re-trained as a teacher of Creative Media production and Media Studies to help sixth form and college students realise their dreams of working in the television industry.

And now, I have taken all the transferable skills from those two careers and re-trained again, this time as an Independent Celebrant.

…and my family

I met my wife, one of my best mates then and now, at Kent University Christ Church College, marrying in 1990.

We have three amazing daughters and two fantastic granddaughters. So many women in my life!

As if that wasn’t enough, I have another lady on the scene now, my black Labrador, Bella… whom I adore!

Am I properly qualified?

I’ve certainly had the very best training and I’ve got the certificates to prove it.
